A Meal Planning Guru and Holistic Nutritionist Weighs in on Adaptogenic Herbs

Bianca Osbourne is a professionally trained private chef, meal planning expert and holistic nutritionist, living her best life in Toronto - a fully self employed entrepreneur for over 5 years.

In February of 2017 I packed up my whole life, gave away all my private chef clients, sold all my heavy “will-not-travel-well” items and moved from Edmonton to Toronto to start fresh and chase my big hairy dreams.

Today, Bianca is a private chef for a lovely family in the Forest Hill area of Toronto, and I blogs on her website www.biancaosbourne.com

"I got tipped onto adaptogens when I was working at an organic deli in Edmonton wayyy back in 2012 before I went full entrepreneur. Little did I know that I would need them while going through the ups and downs of being self employed."

“To say that stress has been a part of my journey would be understated. I’ve used Cordyceps mushrooms in the form of powders added to my smoothie, pills popped in the am and coffee substitutes to help to take the edge off. And when I uprooted and moved my life to Toronto two years ago, I cannot describe the stress LOL. I definitely used Cordyceps at this time, but I can’t say whether they worked or not, because moving is stressful and they are Cordyceps mushrooms, not miracles!”

“As a meal planning guru and private chef I give the people what they want, meaning I shape-shift my skills to accommodate my clients tastes, likes, dislikes, allergies and the like; and truthfully adaptogens have yet to bleed into this area of my work.”

“As a food blogger - I recently refocused my blogging efforts after taking years off - I love sharing recipes and meal planning tips that help people fall in love with the kitchen without having to spend hours in there; so as of yet, adaptogens haven’t made an appearance (leaving that to the pro’s like you Kiki ;).”

So how does this cheffing, meal-planning, blogging entrepreneur make it through the day?!

“Cordyceps mushrooms are my go-to adaptogen.”

“I have protein powders that are infused with this medicinal mushroom, I enjoy Four Sigmatic Coffee Replacement (full disclosure, I add it to coffee lol) and I also use pills for vacation because they are easier to travel with.”

“To the budding entrepreneur or the wo/man trying to ascend to their best life, I say this: the pursuit of success and excellence can be stressful, have some mushrooms!”

I highly recommend you check out Bianca’s beautifully tasty food and lifestyle blog, www.biancaosbourne.com. Her goal is create a community of people who are ascending to their best life, and she’s doing a fabulous job - also a great gal to follow on Instagram if you need some dinner inspo!
